My Affiliate Marketing Experience in 5 Easy Steps
While I have to admit I have yet to learn everything about affiliate Internet marketing because this industry is always changing and there is always something new I have not thought of, heard of or practiced.
But I do know enough to keep my affiliate business in a glowing and respectable state with confidence of bringing it to another level of success.
Here are some of my best tips I have learned about my affiliate marketing business and hopefully they can help you in your business it certainly many other work at home affiliates:
1. Banners have lost some of the appeal over the years. They work only if you remember one thing – do not have your homepage overcrowded with too many banner ads. Keep to a minimum and be selective what banners you decide to use.
2. Do not join any affiliate programs that have nothing to do with the content of your affiliate website. It not only sticks out like a sore thumb, it gives the impression to people all you care about is making money from your visitors.
3. People surfing the Internet generally respond better to text links compared to banners. Use these links to bring your visitors to your top affiliate programs.
4. Choose programs that relate to your content on your website while avoiding those that might create competition for you. Find the ones that complement your business. For example if your business focuses on fitness centers, a good complement would be sport shoes.
5. If you are promoting multiple affiliate programs, how you present them to your visitors is vital to your success. Do not provide a page full of links but instead make the navigation on your website easy to visit these pages. At last don't forget to invest in best affiliate link tracking softwares and affiliate marketing tools.
